The Changed State
You may be familiar with the concept that there are only two states when it comes to organizations - The Status Quo and A Changed State. Human nature dictates that people (and therefore companies) will stay on the Status Quo for as long as they can. In fact, there are only two reasons that people will move from Status Quo:
1. Either the Status Quo has become so painful that they must move;
2. The Changed State looks so inviting that they are compelled to move.
We work with exceptional executive teams that are compelled to move towards The Changed State but are challenged with compelling the rest of the organization to move as well.
In the majority of our engagements, typically, some portion of the organization has moved to The Changed State, but some are still stuck in The Status Quo. (in fact resisting movement at all cost) and then there are some that are lost in the transition.
